Thursday 15 March 2018 - IMarEST President's Day Lecture on Light Across The Water

We are pleased to support IMarEST's annual President’s Day lecture on Light Across The Water delivered by its 116th president, Cdre Rob Dorey FIMarEST, at Trinity House (on Trinity Square, London, EC3N 4DH) in London. 

Rob Dorey comes from a seafaring background and is currently the Director of Operations for Trinity House which is a charity dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers, providing education, support and welfare to the seafaring community with a statutory duty as a General Lighthouse Authority to deliver a reliable, efficient and cost-effective aids to navigation service for the benefit and safety of all mariners.

The presentation will explore the application of technology with respect to light, power, positioning and communications involved in providing this maritime safety service that enables the safe passage of trade into and out of the UK and through our waters.
